معايير مقترحة لاختيار أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الكويت في ضوء تجارب الدول المتقدمة



The aim of this study is to develop proposed criteria for the selection of faculty members at Kuwait University in light of the experiences of developed countries. The study followed the descriptive approach. The sample of the study was chosen by random stratification of the study population. The sample was selected (about 20%) of the study population. The sample of the study was (309). As for the educational experts and specialists, the researcher chose them all (12) experts and specialists for the purposes of their views on the appropriateness of the proposed criteria for the selection of faculty members prepared by the researcher. In order to achieve the goals of the study, a questionnaire was developed, consists of two folds, the first: (50) Item to measure the current criteria for the selection of faculty members at University of Kuwait from the view point of academic leaders and faculty members, the second (54) item to measure the proposed criteria for the selection of faculty members at University of Kuwait in light of experiences of developed countries, The validity and consistency of the study tools were confirmed. The results showed that the members of the study of the current standards at Kuwait University for the selection of faculty members were average. The study's assessment of the proposed criteria for faculty selection was also medium. The results showed the suitability of the proposed criteria for the selection of faculty members at Kuwait University from the perspective of experts and specialists. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the assessment of the current standards of Kuwait University for the selection of faculty members due to the nature of work, gender, experience and the country from which they graduated. The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences in the assessment of the study members of the current standards used by Kuwait University for the selection of faculty members due to the academic level variable and for the rank of professor.
