This study aimed to identify the extent to which the concepts of family education were included in the books of national and civic education for the higher basic grades in Jordan (7th, 8th, and 9th grades), and it relied on the descriptive approach using content analysis. The list of concepts of family education that should be included in the books of national and civic education for the upper secondary grades after their arbitration was used to analyze the books of national and civic education of the higher elementary grades in Jordan. The results of the study reached (98) concepts of family education should be included in the books of national and civic education for the upper grades in Jordan, and the results of the content analysis revealed the following outcomes: 1) The most common concepts of family education in the book of national and civic education for grade 7th grade/I are: Rights, freedom of choice and independence, while the least repeated concepts are: mother, praise, family needs, The most common concepts of family education for grade 7th grade/II are: Equality, education and acceptance of the other, while the least repeated concepts are: father, system, management. 2) The most common concepts of family education in the book of national and civic education for grade 8th grade/I are: authority, communication, and violence, while the least repeated concepts are in for the following concepts: mother, father, hate, The most common concepts of family education for grade 8th grade/II are: Integrity, accountability, and constructive criticism, while the least repeated concepts are in for the following concepts: mother, brother, violence. 3) The most common concepts of family education for grade 9th grade/I are: Rights, democracy and duties, while the least repeated concepts: mother, give confidence, success. 4) The most common concepts of family education for grade 9th grade/II are: Youth, culture and education, while the least repeated concepts are: mother, father, procreation. 5) There are many concepts of family education that are not mentioned in the books of national and civic education, such as the concepts of parental righteousness and parental disobedience. In the light of the results, a set of recommendations and proposals were presented. (Author’s abstract)
