The study aimed to know the reality of the students of Saudi universities towards reading from their point of view, and its relation to some variables. The researcher selected a random sample of the study population (1701) students. The sample of the study was: Four universities representing the geographical regions north of Tabuk University, south of King Khalid University in Abha, west of Taibah University, and east of Dammam University, of which 541 students and 1160 students in the bachelor's degree. The study concluded that the responses of the study sample to the reality of Saudi university students towards reading came to a high degree. And that the responses of the study sample to the axis of the students' reluctance to read were high. And that the responses of the study sample to the axis of practical solutions to address the students' reluctance to read were very high. There are statistically significant differences in the reality of Saudi university students towards reading from their point of view due to the variable of the study (gender) for female students. The existence of differences of statistical significance for the reality of Saudi university students towards reading from their point of view due to the variable of the study (the place of the university) in favor of Taibah University. The absence of statistically significant differences in the reality of Saudi university students towards reading from their point of view is due to the variable of the study (university specialization). There are no statistically significant differences in the reality of Saudi university students towards reading from their point of view due to the study variable (geographical environment). Based on the findings of the study, several recommendations were made. (Published abstract)
