دور البرلمان الطالبي في تنمية مهارة القيادة عند الطلبة المشاركين فيه من وجهة نظرهم



This study aimed to find out the role of the students’ parliament in developing the leadership skills for the participants from their point of view in the light of different types of variables like sex, school stage, type of the educational institution government or private, and academic achievement for the student in comparison with the general average of his classmates using the descriptive analytical research method. The study sample includes 100 male and female student s from the members of the students parliament council in al-koura district school in Irbid governorate. The researcher had distributed the sample randomly. The study concluded that the effect of the parliament on the leadership skills which are practiced by students were medium in general with some differences in its strength. The study showed that there are statistically significant differences in the leadership skills level between males and females for the benefit of males and in stages for the benefit of secondary stages, and in the type of institutions for the benefit of governmental schools. The study concluded that there were no statistically significant differences in the levels of leadership skills attributed to the academic achievement for the student. The researcher has discussed the findings scientifically. The study has also included a lot of recommendations which may develop and improve the students’ parliament in our schools and focuses on general awareness and information of the importance of parliaments.
