This study aims at identifying the extent of utilizing cosmic verses in mental education by secondary school teachers in Gaza governorates. It also tries to tackle the sample members' estimation of such utilization from the teachers' viewpoints according to study variables (gender – major – service years), and then present a suggested mode to develop the performance of secondary teachers in using cosmic verses in mental education. To fulfil study aim, the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical and the constructive methods, and she used the questionnaire to collect primary data to measure the extent of utilizing cosmic verses by teachers. The questionnaire consisted of 28 items and it was distributed on 540 secondary teachers, which represented 26.79% of the total of study group. Teachers were from north, west and east governorates of Gaza Strip and the questionnaire conducted in the first school year 2013-2014. Furthermore, the researcher held a workshop to reach for the best methods to develop teacher's performance in terms of utilizing cosmic verses in mental education. The study shows the following results: 1) Agree average on the suggested items of the questionnaire by study sample was with relative weight of 66%, which is an average percentage indicates the extent of utilizing cosmic verses by secondary teachers. 2) Concerning the impact of study variables on the sample responses, the study showed considerable dissimilarities as the following: 1) There are statistical dissimilarities among estimation averages of sample members related to utilizing cosmic verses in mental education, these differences are attributed to gender and they were in favor of male teachers. 2) There are no statistical dissimilarities among estimation averages of sample members related to utilizing cosmic verses in mental education attributed to service years. 3) There are statistical dissimilarities among estimation averages of sample members attributed to major, and they were in favor of legal (Sharia) major. On the basis of the study results, the researcher recommends: 1) Social education institutions and Ministry of Education should contribute and support inculcating concepts of mental education through utilizing cosmic verses and all other Quranic verses. 2) Adopt comprehensive programs for teachers that urge them to apply cosmic verses in mental education. Teachers should be aware and knowledgeable of effective educational methods derived from Allah (divine method), which developmental education for students. (Author's abstract)
