The present paper aimed at shedding light on the phenomenon of plagiarism. It offered a definition of the concept of scientific plagiarism and showed its phenomena in the age of information. It also revealed the most important effects of the phenomenon of plagiarism in the quality of the Arab educational research and showed the used techniques in facing the scientific plagiarism and limiting its occurrence. Finally, the paper offered a set of recommendations which contribute to avoid this problem and treat it, the most important: 1) The necessity of acknowledging the researchers with the danger of plagiarism, and setting rules and regulations and activating the laws of intellectual possession as a means of defence and legal protection. 2) Spreading the culture of scientific and academic honesty among students through organizing forums, conferences and workshops ,especially those which deal with the topics of authors' rights and scientific honesty ,and drawing students' attention to the imposed punishment on the states of the scientific plagiarism.
