This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of the listening triad in the developing the speaking and reading skills among third graders in Rafah Governorate. Construction lists for the listening, speaking and reading skills, listening and reading tests, and an observation card for speaking. The validity and reliability of tests were verified through their distributing them to referees and a pilot sample so as to calculate the Discrimination and Difficulty Index. The sample consisted of (42) students from the third graders from Rafah Governorate. The researcher used the experimental approach of two groups (control – and experimental). 1) There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group and the scores of control group members in the listening test in favor of the experimental group. 2) There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group and the students of the control group in the speaking test in favor of the experimental group. 3) There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group and students of the control group members in the reading test in favor of the experimental group. 1) More interest should be given to teaching listening, speaking, and reading skills through the strategy of the listening triad to students in the lower grades, including the third grade because of its effective impact on them. 2) There is a need for more attention to be paid by educational supervisors and principals for attending classes on the strategy of the listening triad as implemented by teachers.
