Universities usually do self-assessment of performance. Under this title, most universities analyze points of strength, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, every 3-5 years. Some include other factors such as the main goals of the university and link it to main university activities such as the increase in student numbers and buildings. Other universities focus on the internal processes of the university such as the evaluation of faculty members, programs and students. While research universities focus on the university’s outputs and reputation in terms of number of publications. All these assessment ways or models lack the comprehensiveness and the ability to reflect the effectiveness of the university. This study developed a new model for the self-assessment of the university that constitutes of ten reference assessment questions. Answering these questions require designing tools and measurements and experiments at the levels of the student, faculty member, academic program and the university as a whole. It constitutes of nine defined steps that are easy and flexible upon execution, and relates to all components of the university starting from the student before joining the university and ending with his/her career after graduation and his/her performance evaluation by their employer, and linking all that to the impact on the community.
