To achieve this, research instruments were developed after making sure of their validity and reliability. These instruments consisted of an achievement test and a self-learning skills scale. 68 female students participated in this study. They were divided into two groups: the study group (n=34) was taught through flipped learning strategy, and the comparison group (n=34) was taught through normal method. The findings of the study revealed that the subjects of the study in the study group scored the highest means in cognitive achievement, and acquiring self-learning skills. In parallel, the subjects of the comparison group scored the lowest means. Thus, statistically significant differences were found between the two groups. These differences were in favour of the study group. Moreover, the findings of the study showed that there is statistically significant strong positive correlation at the significance level of (a≤0.5) between the amount of growth in self-learning and the amount of growth in academic achievement,. Based on these findings, it was recommended that the Saudi Ministry of Education should train teachers to adopt flipped learning strategy in Social Studies and National teaching and learning.(Published Abstract)
