متطلبات إدارة المعرفة ودورها في تحقيق الميزة التنافسية في جامعات قطاع غزة



 The study aimed to identify the role played by requirements knowledge management among the Palestinian universities to create a competitive advantage in Gaza Strip according to prospective graduate students during the first semester 2013/2014. The study also attempts to identify the co-relational relationship between knowledge management as independent variable and selective components of competitive advantage as dependent variable. It also investigates the significance of demographic variables on this relationship that the hypotheses were designed accordingly. The study, to achieve its goals, depended on analytical descriptive approach and random sample method was utilized while sample included (285) persons, the questionnaire as a tool of data collection was used to gather primary data, where, (272) of returned questionnaires were available for data analysis forming 95% of distributed ones. A pilot test has been achieved targeting a sample of (40) respondents to ensure good understanding for the questionnaire. SPSS was used for data analysis to present respondents' characteristics. The study has come to conclude results mainly; the universities realize requirements of knowledge management in set of factors that are in order, human resource %73.09, organizational culture %72.31, information technology %71.40 and organizational leadership %68.93. Furthermore, there was a strong relationship between requirements of knowledge management and competitive advantage. The study recommended enhancing university management to facilitate communication among students to exchange ideas and contribute to enrich knowledge further in order to accept a positive criticism to develop the universities. Moreover, the study recommended universities to understand the financial situation of students which, in turn, will assess it to gain competitive advantages, particularly, during the difficult current situation. On the other hand, the study assures to develop workforce abilities through diversity of education systems by training courses that take in consideration harmony between disciplines and creation of a quality culture.
