The study aimed to identify the degree to which Social Studies teachers in the intermediate stage in Kuwait use classroom questions and to identify the quality of classroom questions (introductory questions, reasoning questions, questions, and formative questions). In addition, to detect the differences in the degree of use of social teacher's questions skills in the intermediate stage in the State of Kuwait according to the variables: (gender, qualification, experience). The researcher used the descriptive approach based on a questionnaire consist of (33) items. The sample consist of (199) male and female teachers of Social Studies in the intermediate stage. The study found that middle school social teachers in the State of Kuwait use questions skills of classroom in a high and important manner. Excessive questions were the most frequently used questions, followed by the preliminary questions and then Thinking questions. And finally, the formative questions and a high level of appreciation for all these types. The results also indicate that there are no statistically significant differences in the degree to which social teachers in the intermediate stage in Kuwait use the class questions skills due to gender, qualification, and experience. In the light of the results, the researcher's produce set of recommendations and suggestions. (Author’s abstract)
