The study aimed to measure the extent to which the research team members in the career guidance sections at the governorates are capable at research skills. The study also aimed at identifying the difficulties that research teams may face while conducting research and knowing differences among the averages of sample marks in research skill with relate to gender and academic qualification variables. The measurement of teams' research skills has been applied for(41) male and female members of research teams in the career guidance sections at the educational governorates. The results revealed that the research teams' members are highly competent at research skills and the percentage was between(69%-78.6%). However, the members were not that much competent at the statistical analysis skill where the percentage reached(56.5%). Generally, the research team members are highly competent on research skills reaching(71.6%). The results also revealed that there are a number of difficulties that the research teams face while conducting research some of which are: no incentives allocated for researchers, lack of financial support allocated for research in the educational governorates, and lack of training on educational research. As study showed, there were no differences in research skills and difficulties that the members face attributed to gender and academic qualification variables. Based on the study results, the study ended up with a number of recommendations to serve the educational field. (Published Abstract)
