The study aims at investigating the effectiveness of a training program based on participatory skills through the web to improve the teaching performance among female sociology teachers in Asir region. The teaching performance was determined according two levels; the first level related to knowledge performance and measured through knowledge performance test, the second related to skill performance and measured through observation card for participatory e-learning skills. The sample of the study consisted of 30 female sociology teachers in Asir region. The study tools were: a list of participatory e-learning skills identified in the light of a pilot study, which consisted of 8 main skills, and 41 sub skills, a training program based on participatory skills through the web, and knowledge performance test, and observation card to measure the teacher’s performance skills. The study results showed that there were a statistical significant differences in the mean scores at knowledge performance test between a pre and post in favor post-test, also the results showed that there were a statistical significant differences in favor the post-application of the e-learning observation card, and the results showed that training program based on participatory skills through the web interested in high effect on improving the teaching knowledge and skills performance among female sociology teachers in Asir region. In the light of the study results, the researcher recommended to benefiting from the training program on the use of participatory e-learning strategies. (Published Abstract)
