It also aimed at identifying the experiences of some of the developed countries in this respect. This study is expected to aid in visualizing the activation of the research partnership between the Egyptian universities and the private sector. The study made use of the descriptive approach based on the distribution of a questionnaire to 357 of faculty staffs in the universities of Cairo, Assiut, and Janub Al-Wadi. The study approached the following results: 1) That there are many impediments that hinder the research partnership process due to universities and some of them due to the private sector. 2) Achieving the research partnership between universities and the private sector requires the provision of many requirements and conditions governed by the legislative, legal, regulatory, academic, financial and human aspects. 3) There were no statistically significant differences among the sample representing the practical and theoretical colleges in favor of either the impediments of the research partnership or their achieving the requirements. 4)There were no statistically significant differences among the experimental groups of the impediments of the research partnership due to job hierarchy variable, while there were statistically significant differences among the experimental groups regarding the axis of the research partnership requirements at α (0.05) for the favor of instructors in contrast to assistant professors.
