This study aimed to identify strategic planning at public school in Abu Dhabi Zone by answering the following questions: “What is reality strategic planning at public school? What is the impact of specialization, experience, qualification, Job of the sample members on achieving the goals of research? The population of the study consisted of (206) supervisors and school principals, during the academic year 2008 -2009 The researcher followed description analytical style by designing questionnaire from 27 items distributed on three domains to investigate the aim of the study; validity and reliability of the questionnaire were assessed. Arithmetical means and analysis of variance were used to answer the questions of the research. The result of the study indicated that the degree of schools principals who understand strategic planning is clear to (77.48) and who practice it is clear to (75.115). Also results revealed no statistically significant difference when considering the specialization, but it showed statistically significant differences attributed to experience, in favor of qualification and in favor of, educational supervision which might affect the study results. The study recommends that greater number of the staff should participate in preparing the school strategic planning. (Published abstract)
