This study aims to identifying the effectiveness of the Virtual Laboratory on academic chievement in chemistry in secondary school- third year classes. The researcher used the experimental method in addition to the descriptive analytical method. The study sample consistedof225male and female students who represent both, the experimental and the control groups. In addition, six teachers at the secondary level were interviewed to find out their opinion on the use of the Virtual Laboratory in teaching chemistry. The researcher prepared an achievement test for the unit of qualitative analysis, The Study found that the use of virtual labs gives the best results in the model schools more than geographical schools; the use of virtual laboratory in teaching does not affect the academic achievement of students compared to the traditional way of teaching. Thus, the researcher recommends utilizing the virtual laboratory technology to overcome the problem of the lack of traditional labs in secondary schools, train the teachers and encourage them to use the virtual laboratory in teaching(Published Abstract)
