The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of blended learning based on the Learning Management System "Blackboard" in developing attitudes toward physics for Health Colleges students at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. The study sample consisted of 63 Health Colleges students who studied physics using blended learning. Here, the teacher taught the content in the classroom using the traditional method (talk and chalk). At the same time, he presented this content using an interactive multimedia program through Blackboard. The students then studied the content online using this system. The analysis results of paired-samples t test for the students’ scores on the scale for attitudes toward physics indicated that there was a statistically significant difference at a=0.05 between pre- and post- implementation of the scale in favor of post-implementation. Moreover, the results indicated that blended learning based on Blackboard was effective in developing attitudes toward learning physics and the importance of physics. However, the blended learning was not effective in developing attitudes toward acquiring practical skills. Finally, based on these findings, some recommendations are presented. (Published abstract)
