This study aimed to reveal the impact of using story and retelling strategy in improving disabled students reading comprehension levels in east north badia district. In order to acluev this goal, the researcher used the semi experimental method he also prepared a test to measure reading comprehension (Literal, inductive and critical) levels this study was applied on 22 students divided into two groups 1) the experimental group 2) the control group. The experimental group was toughs according to the story and retelling method of teaching (modern method) and the control group has taught according to the traditional way of teaching. The researcher conducted a pre and posttest to en sure some properties. A lot of result were revealed in this study such as: 1) There is a statistically significant difference a=0,05 due to the effect of using the story and retelling strategy the experimental group achieved better than the control group. 2) There is a statistically significant difference where a=0,05 to the effect of this strategy in all levels.
