The aim of this study is to identify the degree of practice of principals in public schools in Bani Obeid District, Irbid, Jordan for their role in stimulating information technology in their job. It aims, as well, to explore the effect of the study variables in the respondents’ assessment of that role. A questionnaire consisting of 36 items in three fields was prepared for that purpose. The study sample consisted of all 49 school principals in that district. The results indicated that the practicing degree of the principals was “Moderate” for each field independently and as a whole. Furthermore, the results showed that there was a significant statistical difference at a=0.05 between the means of the responders’ assessment due to principals’ administrative experience in favor of principals for over 10 years. Whereas, there was no significant statistical difference at a=0.05 between the means of the respondents’ assessment due to principals’ gender, their specialty, or the school education level.
