Current search threw to know the effectiveness of teaching aids in the selection of selected students of the first grade average in history, and to achieve this goal, the researcher put the null hypothesis of the following: 1) There are no statistically significant differences at the level 0.05 between the average student achievement in the experimental group who are studying the use of teaching aids according to the chosen and the average student achievement in the control group who are studying in the usual way in history. To investigate the hypothesis of the research, researcher selected randomly from the community discussed medium Jeweler Boys sample of current research, and in the same way chose division c to represent the experimental group of the number of students 44 students, and the division of b to represent the control group of the number of students 46 students, after the exclusion of students who failed in each division became final number of the research sample 79 students. The researcher rewarded statistically between the two groups of students in search of some variables that could affect the results of the experiment, and these variables are: 1) Chronological age of the students measured in months. 2) Educational attainment of parents. 3) Educational attainment for mothers. 4) Former academic achievement for students of the two sets of search. 5) IQ test (Raven). Was coined by a researcher 121 target behaviorally, included specific subjects in the experiment and prepared plans for teaching amounted to sixteen plan to Topics history of ancient civilizations, which will examine in the experiment, in light of the content of the book and behavioral objectives, and offer them two plans Onmozcetin a group of experts and specialists in the field of teaching methods psychology and measurement and evaluation, history, reached more than twenty expert and an arbitrator from one of the ten University of Iraq's universities, to see the sincerity, and relevance, has studied the same researcher students two sets of research for the duration of the experiment, which lasted 8 weeks, and after the end of the probation period, a dish researcher test grades to students two sets of search, after the proven reliability and validity of the test by applying it to a prospective sample. To address the data statistically researcher used statistical means the following: 1) t- test for two independent samples. 2) Chi-square test. 3) Pearson correlation coefficient. 4) Spearman correlation coefficient Brown. After analyzing the results, the researcher suggested the following: Superiority of the experimental group students who have studied the use of history (teaching aids selected), the control group students who have studied the material date (the usual way) in academic achievement test of history, as the value of T calculated in the test of academic achievement 9.64 greater than tabular value of 1.980 at the level of significance 0.05 and the degree of freedom 77 and in favor of the experimental group. In light of the findings, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations including: 1) Urged teachers to use these teaching aids selected when teaching history. 2) Training faculty in-service on the use of teaching aids, and not only on teaching methods that rely rote. The researcher suggested a number of proposals, including: 1) conduct similar research in other variables Kakedzab about concepts of history. 2) Conduct research on the effectiveness of educational methods selected in subjects other than the substance of history and different stages of learning.
