The aim of this study is to identify the role of using educational televise in the open education, ideally in Open University of Sudan. The researcher followed the analysis description method, the population study included teaching staff members and the students Open University Of Sudan, and the data collcction tools embodied in a number of 100 questionnaire paper for the students and the interview conducted with 4 teaching staff members, the researcher used several statistical to analyse and brocessing the data. The most important findings of the study are: 1) Most students of Open University of Sudan do not watch the educational televise. 2) The educational televise is consider as an attractive educational means for students of distance education. 3) The educational televise is helping the students dramatically to increase their academic achievement. 4) The daily time of the educational televise is not sufficient to cover the whole disciplines. 5) The lectures through the educational televise focus on Strengthen what the students has already studied in the Courses. The researcher provided number of suggestions and recommendations. (Author’s abstract)
