The aim of this study research is to identify the actual use of computers in teaching at secondary schools in Khartoum state- Omdurman locality the teachers’ attitudes towards the use of computers in the teaching/learning process, the training they receive to qualify in the use of computers in the teaching/learning process, besides the obstacles that face the use of computers in secondary schools. The researcher used the descriptive analytical methods and qualitative and quantitative methods (Hybrid method). The study sample consisted of 56 teachers from four schools. The study found that teacher’ attitudes towards the use of computers in teaching are positive; the technological infrastructure is available. But computer training courses are limited and there are number of constraints that prevent the use of computers in teaching such as: lack of programmed curricula, the computer laboratories are not used, besides that the administration is not giving much attention to the training courses. All this led to the fact that: computer is not used in the teaching/ learning process in the secondary schools in Khartoum state-local Omdurman. ( abstract)
