The problem of the study is proved for the researcher during the follow-up of educational radio programs for the Open University of Sudan it is in need to re-design and prepare and deliver better than it is. The problem can be summarized in a study to answer the following question: what is the role of ratio Open University of Sudan in the teaching and learning of distance education students? This research aims at introducing the importance of the role of radio in the open distance education and improving the preparation and provision of educational material through the radio, as well as continuous assessment of the effectiveness of radio. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method either tools study was the questionnaire and the personal interview and observation. The sample was selected randomly for 50 supervisors and students from the Open University of Sudan to represent the research community. Researcher adopted in dealing with the statistical program SPSS, which contains a number of statistically techniques used, the researcher used the percentage of iterations and the arithmetic mean and standard deviation and the value of chi-square. The most important results researched by the researcher the following: 1) Radio doesn’t allow the opportunity for student to discuss the lecture presenter. 2) There is no fundamental difference between the designs of educational material and radio textbook.
