This study aimed to reveal the reality of knowledge management operations in the Palestinian universities in the Gaza Strip and suggesting ways for developing of university libraries based on knowledge management, by answering the following questions: 1) What is the degree of graduate students' estimates of the reality of Palestinian universities knowledge management processes (Generation and formation of knowledge) in university libraries? 2) What degree graduate students, estimates of the reality of Palestinian universities, knowledge management process (storage and organization of knowledge) in university libraries? 3) What degree graduate students, estimates of the reality of Palestinian universities, knowledge management process (transfer and sharing of knowledge) in university libraries? 4) What degree graduate students, estimates of the reality of Palestinian universities, knowledge management process (application of knowledge) in university libraries? 5) Do graduate students’ estimates differ of the reality of knowledge management processes in university libraries based on the following variables (gender, type of university, type of college (humanity College, Scientific College), the number of library visits (weekly)? 6) What are the ways of developing the reality of knowledge management at the University Libraries from graduate students’ point of view? To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach. She designed a questionnaire consists of 40 items distributed on 4 domains (knowledge generation, storage knowledge, post and transfer of knowledge and application of knowledge) as well as an open question at the end about ways of developing university libraries. Two methods were followed to ensure the validity of the questionnaire: juries’ validity and internal consistency. Other two methods were used to ensure the reliability of the questionnaire: Spilt Half and Cronbach’s alpha method. A stratified random sample was selected which consisted of 239 students for the academic year 2012-2013. Data were collected and analyzed using the following statistical methods: means, standard deviations, the relative weights, t-test for independent samples, and one way ANOVA. After analyzing the study data statistically, the study revealed the following results: 1) Relative weight of graduate students’ estimates degree of the reality of knowledge management processes at universities Palestinian in university libraries was 66.40%, the relative weight of storage and organization of knowledge was 71.38% and it is presented the first rank, followed by the application of knowledge 67.91% relative weight to represent the second rank, then the formation and knowledge generation got the third rank with relative weight 65.80%, at the end the transfer and sharing of knowledge got the fourth rank with relative weight 60.51%. 2) There were no statistically significant differences due to the Academic College variable (College of Humanities, College of scientific) in favor of colleges of humanity. 3) There were no statistically significant differences due to gender variable (females and males). In light of the previous findings, the study recommends the provision of an annual budget for the library to encourage it to disseminate knowledge, expanded e-mail and SMS services for broadcast selective.
