Concerning the problem of the research to answer the following questions: Is that one of the university students from a situation of moral dissonance? Are they the owners of the independent method of knowledge, or cognitive adopted? Are they females or males? And the relationship of that scientific specialization? Is there a relationship between moral repulsion and method of knowledge among the students of the university? And draws current research importance of the goals adopted by the research and sought to be achieved and identify them: the jarring moral, method of cognitive (independence versus dependence on cognitive domain) among the students of the university, and the relationship between these two variables and Malhma impact on the behavior of students, and targeted research as follows: 1)Building measure of moral repulsion among the students of the university. 2). Measuring the level of moral repulsion among the students of the university according to the variables of sex (males, females) and specialization (scientific, humanistic). 3) Detection of students with cognitive style independent of the field and those with cognitive style dependent on the field according to the variables of sex (males , females) and specialization ( scientific , humanistic ). 4). to know the nature of the relationship between moral repulsion and method of cognitive independence versus dependence on cognitive domain according to the variables of sex (male, female) and specialization (scientific, humanistic). And identify current research students of the University of Wasit for both sexes (males - females) and both specialization (scientific - humanistic), for all levels 2012-2013. The researcher defined the moral dissonance as: all conduct issued by the individual towards life situations different and under the internal and external guidance contrasts with the (laws, regulations and the foundations and principles, customs, traditions and values) ethics prevailing in the society towards himself or others in the environment in which they interact with on a psychological, social and cognitive level. The sample of this research consisted of 300 students divided into six colleges chosen randomly from the University of Wasit morning study for both three colleges of Scientific and humanistic specialization in 2012-2013, and rely in the selection of the sample examined Applied on the way stratified random. The researcher used the tools to measure the variable search first : a measure of moral repulsion of the preparation of the researcher himself and the second is a measure of cognitive style ( independence - dependence ) on the field of cognitive , adopted as a researcher on the same scale , prepared ( Al-eazargawi ,2000). The research data were processed using statistical methods; it was possible to reach a set of results, including the following: 1). The results of the statistical analysis that university students are characterized by discord moral and not to gender (male - female) and specialization ( scientific - inhumane ) statistically significant at the level of moral repulsion. 2) The results revealed that members of the research sample is moving towards cognitive reliability. 3) As it turns out the lack of interaction of sex (males - females) with cognitive style independence, either specialization (Science – inhumane), it is interactive with the method of knowledge for the benefit of scientific independence. 4) It was also found that there were no statistically significant differences in the method of cognitive dependence according to gender (male - female), as well as specialization (scientific - inhumane). 5) That there is a correlation between moral dissonance and cognitive style (independence - dependence) among a sample of male and female , and a sample of specialization of scientific and humanitarian .(Published abstract)
