This study aims to explore the reasons behind the spread of BlackBerry devices and its educational effects from the perspective of high school students in Abu Dhabi Educational Zone. The study sample consisted of 509 male and female students from classes X, XI, XII, of whom 320 males and 189 females in 12 School, chosen randomly. A 41 item questionnaire was distributed on the first two areas: the reasons for the use of BlackBerry, and II: Effects of educational implications. The results showed that the proportion of Emirati students who use the BlackBerry classroom during class 19.8% while it is 24.4% of the students of other nationalities. And 47.6% of the Emirati students using the BlackBerry 1- 3 hours per day, while 25.2% of them from using it 4-6 hours a day. And that the degree of estimated students for reasons of the use of BlackBerry and its educational for them, ranging from large and medium. Study also showed no statistically significant differences at the level of α= 0.05 between the degree of estimated students for the reasons for the use of BlackBerry and its educational effects due to the variable sex, the existence of statistically significant differences between the degree of students’ reasons for the use of BlackBerry and educational effects on them due to the variable nationality in favor of Emirati students.
