The study aimed to identify the procedures of the Ministry of Education’s control over the Palestinian curriculum for history books in East Jerusalem schools and their impact on the national identity. The study concluded that there were amendments made by the censors on the Palestinian curriculum, which were represented by deleting the slogan of the Palestinian Authority, deleting the Israeli occupation and a complete limit represented by the British Mandate over Palestine, adding the name of Israel in conjunction with the name of Palestine and leaving blank pages in some books of the history curriculum that narrate the Palestinian narrative and enhance identity patriotism among students, and based on the results of the study, the researcher recommends the following: Teachers should deepen the cultural and national identity of students in Jerusalem schools that teach the modified Palestinian curriculum, the necessity of convening a Palestinian national committee to monitor the teaching of the curriculum so as to deepen the cultural and national identity, and design a proposed vision represented by planning My future is based on the results of this study to build a Palestinian national identity to be adopted by Arab educators and teachers.
