The study aimed to highlight the importance of professional learning communities for early childhood teachers and extrapolate global trends in the application of professional learning communities at this stage and how to benefit from them to determine the most prominent educational requirements necessary to enhance professional learning communities. The study followed the descriptive approach, and the study concluded by analyzing those trends to derive five educational requirements to enhance professional learning communities in early childhood, which are: a trend towards teacher leadership, a trend toward supportive partnership, a trend in activation methods, a trend toward the organizing mechanism, and a trend toward vision and values.
