Researchers are increasingly interested in studying psychological factors, that may affect the achievement of the goals of the educational process. Because student guidance and counseling are one of the pillars of the educational process; It was necessary to shed light on the providers, by studying their psychological safety in the school environment, and its relation to the performance of their roles assigned to them, as far as the researcher knows, there is a dearth of previous studies that dealt with this. The study aimed to identify the relation between psychological safety and the role of the student counselor in public education schools in Makkah city. It also relied on the descriptive approach with its correlative and comparative methods. It was also conducted on a sample of (221) female student counselors, and the two measures of psychological safety and the role of the student counselor in public education schools were applied to them, prepared by the researcher, after verifying their psychometric properties, which came in very high degree, where the value of the alpha coefficient for the first scale (0.982), and the second scale (0.931). The study reached several results, including: the existence of a positive correlation and statistical significance at a significant level (0.05) between the psychological safety of female student counselors and their role in the school, as well as between their mean score on the psychological safety scale, and its dimensions: (Principal’s behavior, Relationships with co-workers). There are also statistically significant differences at a significant level (0.05) between the mean scores of the sample members on the two scales of psychological safety, and the role of the student counselor in public education schools due to the specialization variable. These results indicate the need to pay attention to organizational factors in schools: (principal's behavior, Relationships with co-workers), which in turn affect the level of psychological safety of female student counselors.
