The study aimed to identify the role of the shadow teacher in developing the skills of students with autism spectrum disorder. And clarification of the professional competencies for dealing with students with autism spectrum disorder between the shadow teacher and the regular teacher, as well as monitoring the differences between the autism spectrum disorder students of a distinct shadow teacher, and the autism spectrum disorder students of a non-distinguished teacher. The researcher used the descriptive survey method, and the sample consisted of (20) teachers who responded to the electronic questionnaire. The researcher relied on the questionnaire to reveal the role of the shadow teacher in developing the skills of students with autism spectrum disorder integrated into general education. In light of the results of the current study, the researcher made a number of recommendations. The results confirmed a positive attitude towards individuals with disabilities from the shadow teacher and that he has the basic skills to deal with students with disabilities, as well as relies on designing an age-appropriate curriculum for the student with planning different educational activities to suit the student, in addition to employing technology to enhance the education process.
