UNESCO (2014) declared, in its policy document on education goals of the post-2015 period, how the demand for skills is evolving, and explained how the changing requirements, in the quality, level of knowledge, skills and competencies of today's economies, lead to higher levels of learning. It also emphasized that the deficiency of these skills mean that individuals have a limited ability to innovate or even imitate the possibilities offered, and thus have difficulty in making productive improvements to the economic system. The concept of 21st century skills was guided by the belief in the importance of building and developing student capacities by teaching them the most relevant, useful, and globally required skills, highlighting those skills should be of a significant priority in the curriculum. Education in the Arab world was included in UNESCO's call for the development of 21st century skills for students. In response to supporting UNESCO's actions to achieve this goal, RCQE conducted this study on the integration of 21st century skills into the curriculum in general education. (Published abstract)
