تعطي هذه الدراسة صورة موجزة عن المعهد الكندي العالي للإدارة والهندسة بالقاهرة وقد اتبعنا المنهجية المقترحة في الإطار المرجعي للدراسة التي تشتمل على عشرة محاور وتعتمد على وجود الأدلة من مستندات ومقابلات ومناظرة الموقع الإلكتروني للمعهد. يتبين من الدراسة أن هناك إمكانات مادية متميزة إلى حد كبير في المعهد مقارنة بمثيلاته في الجامعات والمعاهد العليا الحكومية وهناك رغبة من الإدارة العليا في تجويد العملية التعليمية والحصول على الاعتماد الأكاديمي. من جهة أخرى يتبين ضعف المستوى التعليمي للطلاب المقبولين في المعهد بأقسامه المختلفة في تخصص علوم الهندسة والإدارة، كما أن هناك نقصاً شديداً في أعداد أعضاء هيئة التدريس خاصة المعينين منهم في كلا المجالين وهناك أيضاً عدم وضوح في الاختصاصات بالنسبة للمجالس الحاكمة في المعهد كما أن معظم الطلاب يشق عليهم الحصول على الشهادة الكندية بسبب ضعف مستواهم العلمي و/ أو اللغوي. This study gives a summary of the Canadian Higher Institute of Management and Engineering in Cairo. We have followed the proposed methodology in the referential framework of the study that includes ten axes and relies on evidence from documents, interviews and the Institute’s website. The study indicates the distinct physical resources of the Institute in comparison to similar public universities and higher institutes and a desire by senior management to improve the quality of the educational process and to obtain academic accreditation. On the other hand, it shows the weak educational level of students admitted into the various departments of the Institute, in engineering and business management, and the severe shortages in Faculty members especially in those two fields. In addition, there is a lack of clarity in the areas of specialization of the Institute's governing councils; furthermore, most students find it difficult to obtain the Canadian certificate because of their weak scientific and/ or linguistic level. Cette étude présente une vision synthétique de l'Institut supérieur canadien de gestion et d'ingénierie du Caire. Nous avons suivi une méthodologie basée sur dix critères, et s’appuyant sur des sources telles que des documents, des entretiens et l’observation du site web de l'Institut. L'étude montre que l’Institut supérieur canadien se distingue des autres instituts et universités publics d’enseignement supérieur par ses ressources matérielles, et par la volonté certaine de sa direction d’améliorer le système d’enseignement, afin d'obtenir une accréditation académique. Notre étude révèle d'autre part, le faible niveau d'éducation des étudiants admis dans les différentes disciplines en sciences de l'ingénierie et de gestion, ainsi qu’un manque significatif de professeurs, en particulier dans ces deux domaines. Cette étude montre également, concernant les disciplines enseignées, un manque de lisibilité de la part des conseils de gouvernance, ainsi qu’une difficulté de la plupart des étudiants à obtenir le diplôme canadien compte tenu de la faiblesse de leur niveau scientifique et/ou de leur niveau de langue.
