تهدف هذه الدراسة الوصفية إلى معرفة درجةِ تقليديةِ تصوراتِ الطلاب الكويتيين في جامعة الكويت نحو الأدوار الجنوسية للمرأة، وما إذا كان ثمة فروقٌ دالةٌ إحصائيًّا في تصوراتهم لِمحاور الدراسة، تعزى إلى المتغيرات الديمغرافية. وقد أعِدّتْ استبانةٌ خاصةٌ بالدراسةِ، مكونة مِن ثلاثة محاور: (المحور الأسري، والمحور الاجتماعي، والمحور الاقتصادي)، إضافةً إلى الجزء الخاص بالمعلومات الديموغرافية، وأسفر تطبيق الأداة عن عينةٍ فعلية قوامها 901 مشارك، مِن مجموع الطلّاب المسجِّلين في الفصل الثاني مِن العام الدراسي 2019-2020. وقد أظهر المشاركون بشكل عام اتجاهاتٍ مختلفةً نحو الأدوار الجنوسية للمرأة؛ إذ سجّل المحور الأسريّ درجةً (تقليديةٍ) عاليةً، وجاء المحور الاجتماعي بدرجةِ (تقليديةٍ) متوسطةٍ، بينما سجّل المحور الاقتصادي درجة (تقليديةٍ) منخفضةً. كما أسفرت النتائج عن وجودِ علاقةٍ دالةٍ إحصائيًّا بين اتجاهات الطلاب الكويتيين نحو الأدوار الجنوسية للمرأة تبعاً لمتغيرات: الجِنس، ومستوى تعليم الوالدين، والحالة الوظيفية للأم، ولم يظهِر متغيِّر المستوى الاقتصادي للأسرة أيّة دلالةٍ إحصائيةٍ. This descriptive study aims to measure the extent to which the attitudes of Kuwait University students towards women’s gender roles are traditional, and whether or not there is a statistical significance related to their attitudes in relation to demographic variables. A study questionnaire was prepared consisting of three subscales (Family, Social, and Economic Subscales) in addition to the demographic section. The questionnaire was completed by 901 participants out of the total students enrolled in the second semester of 2019-2020 academic year. Altogether, participants showed different attitudes towards women’s gender-roles. The Family Subscale scored high traditional attitudes, the Social Subscale showed medium traditional attitudes, while the Economic Subscale scored low traditional attitudes. In addition, the results showed that Kuwaiti students’ attitudes towards women gender-roles have a statistical significance related to the gender variable, parental education, and the mother working status. However, the family’s economic status variable has showed no statistical significance in relation to all subscales. (Published abstract)
