يهدف البحث إلى الوصول لتصور مقترح للتربية المدنية في التعليم الثانوي العام في مصر وذلك من خلال التعرف على واقع التربية المدنية في التعليم الثانوي العام في كل من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وفنلندا وأيضا واقع التربية المدنية في جمهورية مصر العربية وكيفية الاستفادة من دولتي المقارنة لوضع التصور المقترح. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج المقارن بين دولتي الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وفنلندا، وذلك بهدف الاستفادة من خبراتهما في تطبيق التربية المدنية في التعليم الثانوي. وأسفرت الدراسة عن مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات والتي يمكن أن تسهم في وضع تصور مقترح للتربية المدنية في التعليم الثانوي العام في جمهورية مصر العربية. ومن أهم ما توصل إليه البحث: 1) إن التربية المدنية تعمل على تنمية روح التسامح. 2) إشاعة روح الديمقراطية والحرية والإخاء والمساواة بين الطلبة. 3) خلق طالب يمتلك المهارات والمعرفة اللازمة للمشاركة في الحياة السياسية والمدنية. The current research aims to reach a proposed conception of civic education in general secondary education, by identifying the reality of civic education in general secondary education in both the United States of America and Finland, as well as the reality of civic education in the Arab Republic of Egypt and how to benefit from the two comparative countries to develop the proposed scenario. To this end, the study followed the comparative approach between the United States of America and Finland, with the aim of benefiting from their experiences in the application of civic education in secondary education. The study resulted in a set of recommendations and proposals that could contribute to the development of a proposed vision for civic education in general secondary education in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Among the most important findings of the research: 1) Civic education works on developing a spirit of tolerance. 2) Spreading the spirit of democracy, freedom, brotherhood and equality among students. 3) Creating a student who possesses the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in political and civic life.
