هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور البيئة الجامعية بجامعة الجوف في تعزيز الشخصية الوطنية لدى طلبتها من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، والكشف عن أبرز التحديات التي تواجه البيئة الجامعية بها لدعم بيئتها للقيام بدورها في تعزيز الشخصية الوطنية لدى طلبتها. إتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (282) عضو هيئة تدريس في جامعة الجوف، تم اختيارهم بالطريقة الطبقية العشوائية، استخدم الباحث الاستبانة أداة لجمع البيانات من أفراد عينة الدراسة. وأظهرت النتائج أن دور البيئة الجامعية في تعزيز الشخصية الوطنية لدى طلبتها جاء بمستوى متوسط، كما تبين أن أبرز التحديات التي تواجهها الجامعة تمثلت في ضعف دعم القطاع الخاص للبرامج والأنشطة الهادفة إلى تعزيز الشخصية الوطنية، وتأثير العولمة وما نتج عنها من انتشار ثقافات دخيلة، كما بينت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية متعلق بدور البيئة الجامعية في تعزيز الشخصية الوطنية لدى طلبتها من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس تبعاً لمتغيري الجنس والدرجة العلمية، ووجود فروق تبعاً لمتغير التخصص وجاءت الفروق لصالح كل من تخصص (طبي - صحي) و(نظري - إنساني)، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية متعلقة باستجابات الأعضاء عن التحديات التي تواجه الجامعة للقيام بدورها في تعزيز الشخصية الوطنية لدى طلبتها وفقاً لجميع متغيرات الدراسة. This study aimed to identify the role of university environment at Jouf University in enhancing the citizenship among students from the point of view of the faculty members, and to reveal the main challenges facing the university to play its role in enhancing the citizenship among students. The study followed the descriptive survey method. The sample of the study consisted of (282) faculty members at Jouf University. The researcher used the questionnaire as a tool to collect data from the study sample. The results showed that the role of Jouf University in enhancing the citizenship among its students from the point of view of the faculty members was moderate. And the main challenges facing the university in enhancing citizenship among students were the impact of globalization and the resulting spread of exotic cultures. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in the role of Jouf University in enhancing the citizenship among students due to the variables (sex and academic rank), and the existence of differences according to the (specialization). The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the responses of the members on the challenges facing the university to play its role in enhancing the citizenship among students according to the study variables (gender, academic rank, and specialization).
