The present research aims at trying to prove that concept maps can be used as a teaching technique on the achievement of fourth year secondary students in English. To achieve the above aim, a deliberate sample of 65 female students was chosen from Al-Andulus preparatory school for girls in the city of Mosul. The sample was divided into two groups, an experimental and control. After achieving co-equivalence between them, the researcher designed an achievement test which consisted of (25) multiple-choice items and applied on both groups, T-test showed the superiority of the experimental group over the control group in concept maps. Results show that the use of concept maps helped to improve the achievement of fourth secondary students in English, and to understand the material better than the traditional method.
