هدف البحث التعرف على أثر أنموذج بوليا لحل المسائل في تحصيل طالبات الصف الخامس العلمي لمادة الرياضيات وتنمية دافعيتهن نحو تعلمها. تكونت عينة البحث من (68) طالبة من طالبات الصف الخامس العلمي اخترن من إعدادية الفاو للبنات قصديا وذلك لتعاون إدارة المدرسة ومدرسة مادة الرياضيات مع الباحثة في تنفيذ التجربة، ثم قسمت العينة إلى مجموعتين متكافئتين في عدد من المتغيرات اذ بلغ عدد افراد المجموعة التجريبية (32) طالبة درسن مادة الرياضيات بأنموذج بوليا، أما المجموعة الضابطة فقد بلغ عدد أفرادها (36) طالبة درسن مادة الرياضيات بالطريقة الإعتيادية، ولتحقيق هدف البحث وفرضياته أعدت الباحثة اختبارا تحصيليا في مادة الرياضيات والمكون بصيغته النهائية من (15) فقرة، كما اعتمدت الباحثة على مقياس الدافعية نحو تعلم مادة الرياضيات الذي أعدته العزو (1999)، ثم قامت مدرسة المادة بتدريس المجموعتين وبأشراف الباحثة في الفصل الدراسي الأول للعام الدراسي 2008-2009م. وبعد تنفيذ تجربة البحث وتطبيق الأداتان وجمع البيانات وتحليلها إحصائيا باستخدام الاختبار التائي لعينتين مستقلتين دلت النتائج إلى: 1) يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط تحصيل طالبات المجموعة التجريبية ومتوسط تحصيل طالبات المجموعة الضابطة ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية. 2) يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي الدافعية نحو تعلم الرياضيات لطالبات المجموعة التجريبية وطالبات المجموعة الضابطة ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية. 3) يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي الفرق بين درجات الاختبارين البعدي والقبلي للدافعية نحو تعلم الرياضيات لطالبات المجموعة التجريبية التي درست بانموذج بوليا لحل المسائل. Impact of Polya strategy for Solving Tasks on The Achievement of Fifth Scientific Grade Female Students in Mathematics and Developing Their Motivation to Learn the Subject. The present research investigates the impact of Polya strategy to solve tasks on the achievement of fifth grade female students in mathematics and developing their motivation to learn the subject. The sample includes (68) female students chosen intentionally from Al-Fao preparatory school for girls as the principal of this school and the teacher of the subject are very helpful and assist the researcher in performing the experiment. The sample has been divided in to two groups equivalent in some variables. The experimental group includes (32) female students taught mathematics by using Polya strategy. The control group includes (36) female students taught mathematics by using the traditional method. To fulfill the aim of the research ; an achievement test has been prepared by the researcher. The test consists of (15) items. The scale of motivation towards learning maths which prepared by Al-Izo (1999) has been applied in this research. The teacher of maths in the prescribed school stsrts teaching the students in the two groups according to the guidance given by the researcher. The experiment conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2008-2009. At the end of the research the two instruments of the research have been administered. The data has been analyzed by using to test for two independent samples. The findings concluded the following: 1) There is significant statistical difference between the mean score of the students in the achievement test in maths for the two groups and for the benefit of the experimental group. 2) There is significant statistical difference in the mean score of developing motivation for the two groups and for the benefit of the experimental group. 3) There is significant statistical difference in the mean score of difference between pre-and posttest of students motivation towards learning maths in the experimental group and for the benefit of posttest.
