هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى استكشاف الأطر الفكرية والنظرية لمؤشرات جودة التعليم في الفكر الإداري المعاصر، والوقوف على الواقع الراهن لمؤشرات جودة التعليم العام في المملكة، ثم صياغة آليات مقترحة لتحسين مؤشرات جودة التعليم العام في المملكة. واعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوثائقي التحليلي المستند على الاستفادة من الوثائق والدراسات في مجال مؤشرات جودة التعليم السعودي بشكل خاص، وجودة التعليم بشكل عام وتحليل هذه الوثائق للوصول إلى النتائج المرجوة من هذه الدراسة. وكان من أهم النتائج التى توصلت إليها الدراسة أنه على الرغم من الجهود التطويرية لتحسين جودة التعليم العام في المملكة والارتقاء بترتيبه التنافسي إلا أن هناك عددًا من التحديات والمعوقات التي يتسم بها الواقع مثل، تعدد جهات تقويم التعليم على مستوى المملكة، وضعف الوعي بمدلول المؤشرات ووظيفتها وأنواعها وإجراءات قياسها. ومن ثم انتهت الدراسة بتقديم عدد من الإجراءات المقترحة لتحسين مؤشرات جودة التعليم العام، وذلك استناداً إلى التحليل النظري لمؤشرات الواقع ودلالاته. The present study aimed to explore the intellectual and theoretical frameworks of quality indicators of education in contemporary administrative thought, then examine the current reality of indicators of public education in KSA and to formulate proposed mechanisms to improve the quality indicators of public education in the Kingdom. The study adopted analytical documentary method based on the use of documents and studies in the field of quality indicators of Saudi education in particular and the quality of education in general, and analysis of these documents to reach the desired results of this study. One of the most important findings of the study is that despite the developmental efforts to improve the quality of public education in the Kingdom and the upgrading of its competitive ranking, there are a number of challenges and obstacles that characterize the reality such as the multiplicity of educational evaluation bodies in the Kingdom, and measurement procedures. The study ended with a number of proposed measures to improve the quality indicators of public education, based on the theoretical analysis of the indicators of reality and its implications.
