هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد مستوى امتلاك التلاميذ ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية بالمرحلة الثانوية لمهارات تقرير المصير، ومدى فاعلية البرنامج التدريبي على تنمية مجالي مهارة تحديد الاختيارات ومهارة اتخاذ القرارات. تكونت عينة الدراسة من ستة تلاميذ من المسجلين ببرامج التربية الفكرية بمدراس الدمج بالمرحلة الثانوية بالطائف، موزعين مناصفة بين الصفين الثاني والثالث الثانوي. تضمنت الدراسة تطبيق أداتين للبحث هما مقياس لقياس مجالين من مجالات تقرير المصير وهما (تحديد الاختيارات، واتخاذ القرارات)، والأخرى عبارة عن برنامج تدريبي مكون من عشرين جلسة موزعة على أربعة اسابيع بواقع جلسة يوميا. حيث خرجت نتائج الدراسة بأن مستوى امتلاك التلاميذ ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية لمهارات تقرير المصير كان متوسطا بشكل عام، وأن قيم المتوسطات الحسابية لفقرات المقياس تتراوح بين (2067 – 4.00)، كما بينت نتائج الدراسة تحسنا في أداء العينة بعد تطبيق البرنامج التدريبي المعد لتنمية مهارات تقرير المصير إلى تحسن أداء العينة في نتائج الاختبار البعدي. وخلصت نتائج الدراسة إلى عدم وجود فروق بين نتائج القياسين البعدي والتتبعي والذي تم إجرائه بعد انتهاء الدراسة بثلاثة أسابيع. The present study aim is to determine the level of self-determination skills for intellectual disability students at high school, also measuring effectiveness of a training program to develop some self-determination skills and identifying the expected effects for the intelligence level and age category with the self-determination skills test results on the study sample. The study sample includes six students from special education program at high school in Taif city in kingdom of Saudi Arabia, three of them are in the second year of secondary school and three of them are in the last year grade secondary. This study is included two research instruments were utilized. At first is self-determination skills exam used for measuring two skills they are "choices select, decisions make ". The other is self-determination skills training program includes twenty training workshops. They were completed in four weeks, a workshop per day. The study sample showed that the self-determination skills level for students with intellectual disability was generally average. The arithmetical values averages at the range between (4.00-2.67) The study results also confirmed that, the following test results for self-determination skills training program are showing an improvement at intellectual disabilities students' performance compared to their performance before the training program. Finally, the study results confirm that no differences between self-determination skills training program test score and the other test score taken after three weeks from the program end.
