هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن طبيعة معنى الحياة لدى عينة من طلبة المرحلة الثانوية والجامعية، ومعرفة الفروق في معنى الحياة لدى عينة الدراسة تبعا لمتغير (الجنس، المرحلة الدراسية، التفاعل بينهما)، تضمنت عينة الدراسة (200) طالب وطالبة من المرحلة الثانوية والجامعية بمنطقة مكة المكرمة (مكة - جدة) ممن تراوحت أعمارهم بين (16-23)، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطبيق مقياس معنى الحياة (2010) إعداد محمد الأبيض، واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي وأسفرت عن النتائج التالية: ارتفاع معنى الحياة لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية والجامعية عن المتوسط الفرضي، وعدم وجود فروق دالة في معنى الحياة بين طلبة المرحلة الثانوية والجامعية تبعا لمتغير الجنس، وعدم وجود فروق دالة في معنى الحياة بين طلبة المرحلة الثانوية والجامعية تبعا لمتغير المرحلة الدراسية. The current study aimed to explore the nature of the meaning of life in a sample of secondary school and university students, and to reveal the differences in the meaning of life for the study sample according to the variables (gender, educational level, interaction between them). The study sample included (200) male and female students from the secondary and university stages in Makkah AlMukarramah region (Makkah - Jeddah), whose ages ranged between (16-23). To achieve the study objectives, the meaning of life scale (2010), prepared by Mohammed Al-Abyad was applied; and the study relied on the descriptive approach. The study reached the following results: 1) The meaning of life among secondary and university students is higher than the hypothetical average, and there are no significant differences in the meaning of life between secondary and university students according to the gender variable, and there are no significant differences in the meaning of life between secondary and university students according to the variable of the academic stage.
