تسعى هذه الدراسة التعرف على اتجاهات الطلبة الجامعيون في سلطنة عمان ودولة الكويت نحو المواطنة العالمية في ضوء بعض المتغيرات، و الكشف عن مدى تأثر هذه الاتجاهات بأربع متغيرات هي نوع الجامعة (جامعة السلطان قابوس، جامعة ظفار، وجامعة الكويت)، ومتغير النوع الاجتماعي (ذكر، أنثى)، ومتغير الكلية (إنسانية، وعلمية)، ومتغير الرغبة في تعلم مزيد من اللغات (نعم، لا)، تبنت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي من خلال إعداد مقياس الاتجاهات تكون من (51) عبارة، توزعت على محورين هما: طبيعة المواطنة العالمية، وخصائص المواطن العالمي الصالح، وبعد التأكد من صدق الأداة وثباتها، تم توزيعها خلال العام الجامعي (2019/2020) على عينة من ثلاث جامعات : جامعتين عمانيتين هما جامعة السلطان قابوس وهي جامعة حكومية، وجامعة ظفار وهي جامعة خاصة، وجامعة الكويت .أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود اتجاه عالي لدى عينة الدراسة نحو المواطنة العالمية، وعلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متغير نوع الجامعة لصالح جامعة السلطان قابوس، وفي متغير الرغبة في تعلم مزيد من اللغات لصالح الذين لديهم رغبة في تعلم لغات أكثر، ولم تظهر الدراسة فروق في متغيري النوع الاجتماعي والكلية، وأصى الباحثين بأهمية تضمين مقرر في المواطنة العالمية في مؤسسات التعليم العالي من أجل تعزيز اتجاهات طلبة الجامعات في سلطنة عمان ودولة الكويت نحو المواطنة العالمية. The descriptive research aims to understand the attitudes of university students in Oman and Kuwait towards global citizenship. Four variables are investigated to measure the level of impact on students’ attitudes - affiliated university (Sultan Qaboos, Dhofar University, and Kuwait University), gender (male and female), college (arts and sciences), and the desire to learn more languages (yes or no). After ensuring the research instruments’ validity and reliability, a randomized sample of university students was selected during the academic year of 2019/2020, from the following three universities: Sultan Qaboos University - public; Dhofar University - private; and Kuwait University - public. Data collection tools involved the questionnaire and surveying method. Data results were first analyzed using an attitudes scale that consisted of 51 statements, which were further divided into two primary domains - the nature of global citizenship and the characteristics of a good global citizen. Data results indicate the sample’s strong attitudes towards global citizenship. There were statistically significant differences in students’ desire to learn more languages and in the university type variables, both in favor of Sultan Qaboos University. However, results did not reveal significant differences in the gender and college variables. Research recommendations include the need for higher education institutions to dedicate a course on global citizenship, so as to enhance students’ attitudes towards global citizenship.
