The current research aimed to reveal the effect of the difference of the two types of discovery (directed - semi-directed) using electronic educational games, in developing achievement and geographical contemplative thinking skills among a sample of deaf students in the first preparatory grade, chosen randomly and distributed to two experimental groups, the first taught by the discovery style (guided). ), and the second is taught by a (semidirected) discovery style, and the descriptive approach was used in the study and analysis stage, and the quasi-experimental approach was used to measure the impact of the independent variable on the dependent variables. Geographical), the experimental processing material (electronic educational games program) was built with two modes of discovery (directed - semi-directed), and the measurement tools were applied before and after; The following results were reached: There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the first and second experimental groups in the pre and post measurements of the cognitive achievement test, and the geographic reflective thinking skills test; In favor of the post-measurement in both groups, the results also revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the first and second experimental groups, in the two post-measurements of the cognitive achievement test and the geographical reflective thinking skills test; In favor of the second experimental group, this means that the (semi-directed) discovery pattern has a greater effect than the (guided) discovery pattern in developing the achievement and geographical contemplative thinking skills of the (research sample).
