هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تحديد درجة وعي الشباب الكويتي بدور الجمعيات الخيرية وعلاقته بتفعيل ثقافة العمل التطوعي لديهم" وذلك من خلال تحديد العلاقة بين بعض المتغيرات الديمغرافية وثقافة العمل التطوعي لدى الشباب (الجنس - المرحلة العمرية - المستوى التعليمي - مكان الإقامة). الكشف عن مدى وعي الشباب الكويتي بالدور الذي تقوم به الجمعيات الخيرية. تحديد العلاقة بين مستوى الوعي بدور الجمعيات الخيرية وتفعيل ثقافة العمل التطوعي لدى الشباب. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، كما تم استخدام الاستبانة كأداة رئيسية لجمع البيانات، حيث طبقت الاستبانة على عينة قصدية بلغت (319) من الشباب الكويتي. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى ارتفاع مستوى الوعي بدور الجمعيات الخيرية داخل المجتمع الكويتي، بينما كان مستوى ثقافة العمل التطوعي لدى أفراد العينة متوسط، كما توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة بين الوعي بدور الجمعيات الخيرية وثقافة العمل التطوعي لدي الشباب عند مستوى دلالة 0.001. كما لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات أفراد العينة في وعيهم بدور الجمعيات الخيرية ومستوى ثقافة العمل التطوعي تبعاً لمتغيرات الدراسة (الجنس، التخصص، المهنة). وتوصي الدراسة بضرورة الاهتمام بالدور الإعلامي في التعريف بالعمل التطوعي وأهميته بالنسبة للفرد والمجتمع، ضرورة التدريب على الأعمال التطوعية في سن مبكر، الاهتمام بالشباب وزيادة البرامج الارشادية والتدريبية داخل الكليات والمدارس. The current study aimed to determine the degree of Kuwaiti youth’s awareness of the role of charities and its relationship to activating the culture of volunteer work for them, by determining the relationship between some demographic variables and the volunteer work culture among young people (gender - age level - educational level - place of residence). Kuwaiti youth in the role played by charities. Determining the relationship between the levels of awareness of the role of charities and activating the culture of volunteer work among youth. To achieve this goal, a descriptive and analytical approach was used. the questionnaire was used as a main tool for data collection, where the questionnaire was applied to an intended sample of (319) of Kuwaiti youth. the study found a high level of awareness of the role of charities within the Kuwaiti society, while the level of volunteer work culture among the sample members was moderate, and the study also found a positive correlation between awareness of the role of charities and the culture of volunteer work among young people when Significance level 0.001. There are also no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample individuals in their awareness of the role of charities and the level of volunteer work culture According to the study variables (gender, specialization, profession). The study recommends the need to pay attention to the media role in introducing volunteer work and its importance for the individual and society, the need for training on volunteer work at an early age, concern for youth and increasing extension and training programs within colleges and schools.
