The purpose of the current study is to identify the effectiveness of a "proposed program using daily life applications on developing physical concepts and basic scientific processes on kindergarten children". A quasi-experimental method using pre and post measurement is used on two sample groups (the control group and the experimental group). Each group contains 35 kindergarten children between 5-6 years at Farouk Omar School for kindergarten in Minia governorate during academic year 2016-2017. The tools used throughout this study consist of: 1) A list of physical concepts to be developed for Kindergarten children. The list contains light, magnetism, status of the material, electricity and waves (researcher preparation). 2) A List of basic scientific processes including observation, classification, conclusion and prediction (researcher preparation). 3) A proposed program using daily life applications for developing the physical concepts and basic scientific processes of kindergarten children (researcher preparation). 4) The graphical physical concepts test (researcher preparation). 5) Scale of basic scientific processes (researcher preparation). 6) Before applying the proposed program, the physical concepts test and the scale of basic scientific processes are given to both the control and experimental groups to be solved. Then, the traditional teaching method of the physical concepts on the control group is applied. The proposed program using life applications is applied on the experimental group. Finally, the physical concepts test and scale of basic scientific processes are applied on both control and experimental groups after applying the proposed program. The statistical results showed that: 1) A significant statistically difference is found between the mean scores of both the control and the experimental groups in the post application of the physical concepts test in favor of the experimental group. 2) A significant statistically difference is found between the mean scores of both the control and the experimental groups in the post application of the scale of basic scientific processes in favor of the experimental group. 3) These results showed the effectiveness of the proposed program using life applications in developing the physical concepts and basic scientific processes for kindergarten children.
