استهدف هذا البحث قياس "فاعلية تدريس وحدة مقترحة للدراسات الاجتماعية للصف السادس الابتدائي قائمة على مدخل الأحداث الجارية في تنمية الوعي بأبعاد الأمن الفكري لدى التلاميذ"، وتم إجراؤه على عينة عددها 40 تلميذا من تلاميذ الصف السادس من مدرسة أبو فليو الابتدائية بإدارة المنيا التعليمية، واستخدم المنهج التجريبي على مجموعة تجريبية واحدة، أعدت الباحثة وحدة مقترحة في الدراسات الاجتماعية قائمة على مدخل الأحداث الجارية واختبارا للمفاهيم لقياس اكتساب التلاميذ لمفاهيم الأمن الفكري، واختبارا للمواقف لقياس الأمن الفكري، وتمت معالجة الدرجات التي حصلها عليها التلاميذ في كل من الاختبارين القبليين والبعديين لمفاهيم الأمن وأبعاد الأمن بواسطة برنامج SPSS، وأثبتت النتائج وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05) بين متوسطي ​​درجات التلاميذ في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي لاختبار المفاهيم، ووجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05) بين متوسطي درجات التلاميذ في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي لاختبار قيم الأمن الفكري. وبناء على النتائج السابقة أثبت البحث فاعلية تدريس الوحدة المقترحة للدراسات الاجتماعية القائمة على مدخل الأحداث الجارية في تنمية الوعي بأبعاد الأمن الفكري لدى تلاميذ الصف السادس الابتدائي، ومن ثم اقتراحه في تدريس موضوعات الدراسات الاجتماعية المختلفة وكذلك اقتراحه للباحثين بمزيد من البحث مع متغيرات أخرى. This research investigated “The effectiveness of teaching a proposed unit in social studies for 6th grade pupils based on the current events approach in developing the awareness of the intellectual safety dimensions”. It was conducted on 40 participants of grade six from Abu Flio primary school. The research used an experimental method with one group, they were taught and assessed by the research herself. She conducted a conceptual test for assessing the participants` awareness of the intellectual safety concepts and a situational scale for assessing the participants awareness of the intellectual safety dimensions pre and post the implementation. The collected scores of both the pre / post- test and scale were processed and analyzed via SPSS program. The given results proved that there are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average of the participants` scores in the pre / post conceptual test = 2.02 and there are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average of the participants` scores in the pre / post situational scale = 2.02. Based on the previous results, the research has proven the effectiveness of the current events approach in teaching social studies topics and in developing the awareness of the dimensions of intellectual safety among sixth grade pupils.
