هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تطوير تشكيل وأدوار مجالس إدارات المدارس بسلطنة عمان في ضوء نماذج بعض الدول، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، كما استخدمت تحليل الوثائق في جمع البيانات والمعلومات. وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى حاجة مجالس إدارات المدارس بسلطنة عمان في تشكيلها إلى أعضاء يمثلون أولياء الأمور والطلبة والمجتمع المحلي، بالإضافة إلى توضيح أدوار الأعضاء مثل رئيس المجلس ومساعده وأمين الصندوق والمنسق، فضلا عن تشكيل لجان فرعية تساعد هذه المجالس في عملها، وأيضا القيام بمهام ومسؤوليات تتضمن المشاركة في عمليات التخطيط الاستراتيجي المدرسي، ومتابعة تنفيذ المناهج الدراسية وما يرتبط بها من أنشطة. The current study aimed to identify the Developing the formation and roles of school management councils in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the models of some countries. The study used the descriptive method, and the analysis of documents was used in collecting data and information. The results of the study found the need for school management councils to form members representing parents, students and the local community, in addition to clarifying the roles of members such as the council president, assistant, treasurer and coordinator, as well as forming sub-committees to help these councils in their work , and also to carry out tasks and responsibilities that include participation in school strategic planning processes, and follow-up of curriculum implementation and related activities.
