هدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف على فاعلية تدريس مقرر الحديث 1 باستخدام نموذج فورمات في تنمية التفكير الناقد لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية، حيث استخدم البحث المنهج التجريبي بتصميمه شبه التجريبي. وتكونت عينة البحث من (62) طالباً تم توزيعهم إلى مجموعتين تجريبية وضابطة، كما تم إعداد اختبار تحصيلي لمعرفة مدى تنمية النموذج للتفكير الناقد. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة الحالية وجود فرق دال إحصائياً عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05) أو أقل منه بين درجات الطلاب في المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في مهارات (الاستنتاج - الاستنباط - معرفة الافتراضات - تقويم المناقشات)، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. وأوصت الدراسة بمجوعة من التوصيات منها: استخدام نموذج الفورمات بشكل واسع في العملية التعليمية لتنمية التفكير الناقد، وكذلك الاستفادة من استخدام نموذج الفورمات في تدريس مقررات العلوم الشرعية لتنمية التفكير الناقد لدى الطلاب. The aim of this research is to identify the effectiveness of teaching the Hadith (1) course using the FORMAT model in developing critical thinking among high school students. Using the quasi-experimental design, the participants of the study comprised of (62) students, were distributed into two groups, one experimental and one control. An achievement test was also prepared to see the extent to which the model developed the critical thinking of the participants. The results of the current study revealed that there was a statistically significant difference at (0.05) level or less between the scores of students in the experimental and those of the control groups in (deduction, induction, knowledge of assumptions and discussions evaluation) in favor of the experimental group students. The study recommended a group of recommendations, including: the wide use of the FORMAT model in the educational process to develop critical thinking, as well as the use of the model in teaching Islamic forensic science courses to develop critical thinking among students.
