هدفت الدراسة إلى ترجمة مقياس تقييم الذات-التقرير الذاتي Self-Evaluation-self scale (SES-S إعداد إرفورد (Erford, 2017). والتحقق من خصائصه السيكومترية :(الصدق، والثبات، والإتساق الداخلى) وصلاحيته للاستخدام في البيئة الكويتية، فضلا عن الكشف عن درجة صلاحيته لمعرفة الفروق بين الذكور والإناث في درجة تقييم الذات، كما تم التحقق من سلامة المقياس ووضوح عباراته وملائمته لعينة الدراسة من خلال تطبيقه على عينة استطلاعية قوامها (100) متعلم ومتعلمة الملتحقين في الصف الثامن والتاسع بمدارس التعليم المتوسطة الحكومية، أما عينة الدراسة الأساسية فقد بلغ قوامها (253) متعلم ومتعلمة الملتحقين في الصف الثامن والتاسع والعاشر بمدارس التعليم المتوسطة والثانوي الحكومية حيث بلغ عدد الذكور (100) بينما بلغ عدد الإناث (153)، بمتوسط عمر 14.01 وانحراف معياري 0.706. وقد أسفرت النتائج إلى تمتع المقياس بقيم ثبات مرتفعة بطريقتي ألفا كرونباخ والتجزئة النصفية. إضافة إلى تمتع المقياس بدرجة صدق جيدة والتي تم التحقق منه من خلال حساب صدق المحكمين وبلغت نسب الاتفاق على عبارات المقياس (87%)، أيضا حُسبت القدرة التمييزية للمقياس وكانت القيم في جميع الأبعاد الفرعية والمجموع الكلي دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى (0.01) وهي مؤشرات صدق مرتفعة. إضافة إلى حساب الاتساق الداخلي لكل مكوّن عن طريق إيجاد معامل ارتباط كل بند مع المجموع الكلي للمُكوّن، ومعامل ارتباط المجموع الكلي للمكونات الفرعية مع المجموع الكلي للمقياس وذلك باستخدام معامل ارتباط بيرسون، وكانت جميع المكونات دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى (0.01). كما أكدّت النتائج على قدرة المقياس على التمييز بين الذكور والإناث في درجة تقييم الذات. The study aimed to translate and legalize the Self-Evaluation Scale-Self-Report (SESS), which was prepared by Erford 2017. And to verify its psychometric properties and suitability to be used in the Kuwaiti environment. The study aimed also to determine the scale's validity for measuring gender differences in the degree of Self Evaluation. The validity of the scale, the clarity of its phrases and the scale’s suitability for the study sample were verified through applying the scale to a pilot sample of (100) male and female students from the eighth and ninth grades enrolled in government intermediate schools. Whereas the sample of the study consisted of (253) male and female students from the eighth, ninth and tenth grades enrolled in government intermediate and secondary schools, where the number of males reached (100) and the number of females (153), their average age was 14.01 and a standard deviation 706. The results showed that the scale had high reliability indications by the Cronbach alpha and Split-half reliability. The validity of the scale was also verified in a variety of ways, first: Inter-rater Validity in which (87%) was the percentage of the arbitrators' agreement on the scale's statements. Second, the discriminatory ability of the scale where all the values were in all the sub-dimensions and the grand total are statistically significant at the level (0.001), which are good validity indicators. In addition to calculating the internal consistency of each component by finding the correlation coefficient of each item with the total sum of the component, and the correlation coefficient of the total sum of the subcomponents with the total of the scale by using a correlation coefficient Pearson, and all the components were statistically significant at the .01 level. The results also showed the ability of the scale to differentiate between males and females in the degree of self-evaluation. (Published abstract)
