يرمي البحث الحالي الى التعرف عن مشكلات تدريس مادة التعبير والانشاء في المرحلة الجامعية وبالتحديد عند طالبات قسم اللغة العربية في جامعة بغداد لما للتعبير من مكانة لغوية مهمة كونها أعلى مستوى لغوي يصل اليه المتعلم لتحقيق هدف البحث أعدت الباحثة استبانة المشكلات مكونة من (20) فقرة تم التأكد من صدقها و ثباتها واجرت الباحثة تطبيقها على عينة البحث البالغ حجمها (60) طالبة من طالبات قسم اللغة العربية في كلية التربية للبنات، وقد تم اختيارهن بصورة عشوائية متناسبة من مجتمع البحث،وباستعمال الوسائل الاحصائية المناسبة: الوسط المرجح، والوزن المئوي، وتبين للطالبة وجود مشكلة حقيقية في تدريس هذه المادة، وفي ضوء نتائج البحث أوصت الباحثة بتوصيات منها: تنمية الجانب الوظيفي عند تدريس مادة التعبير والانشاء، لأهميته في حياة الطالبة العلمية والاجتماعية، واقترحت الباحثة مقترحات منها: اجراء مسابقات علمية في مادة التعبير والانشاء للطالبات لجذبهن الى لغتهن الأم. This research paper attempts to explore problems facing the teaching of written expression among first-year female university students. The focal point behind conducting this research is to show the importance that writing is taking as a skill in learning the language. To achieve this goal, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of 20 items. The sample, whose size is 60 participants, was selected randomly from the department of Arabic, College of Education for Women, University of Baghdad. Through the use of a set of statistical means including weighting means and percentage, the findings revealed that the students face many difficulties in learning writing. The researcher suggested some recommendations, mainly improving the practical side when teaching writing as a skill due to its importance in the student’s scientific and social lives. The researcher also provided some suggestions including conducting writing competitions to attract students to learn their mother tongue. (Published abstract)
