The researcher aims to identify the effect of the storytelling model on reading comprehension for fourth grade primary students. To achieve the researcher chose the experimental curriculum as a method for his research, the research community consisted of (13) boys' schools in Al-Rifai district, the Judicial Center. Two groups (control and experimental) with (30) students for the experimental group and (30) students for the control group, After that, the researcher prepared a test consisting of (40) items distributed among five questions that included the five reading comprehension skills. For the purpose of verifying its sincerity, it was presented to a group of experts and arbitrators. Before completing the experiment, the researcher applied the reading comprehension test to an exploratory sample from the research community itself, formed Of (42) students, after completing the experiment, the tool was applied to the research sample, and used several statistical means, including: Ttest for two independent samples, difficulty factor, discrimination coefficient, Chisquare, and Cropnach-alpha equation The researcher reached the superiority of the experimental group students over the control group students in reading comprehension, according to the use of the narrative model, and the differences were statistically significant between the students of the experimental group and the control group at the level of significance (0.05) and degree of freedom (58). One of the most important conclusions that the researcher concluded was that education according to the narrative model is effective in developing the reading comprehension of students. In light of the findings of the current research, the researcher recommends the following recommendations: 1) Adopting anecdotal models when teaching reading to fourth primary students. 2) Holding training workshops for male and female teachers and urging them to apply modern models and strategies ،Including the narrative model in teaching. 3) Giving each branch of the Arabic language the right to distribute the lessons, so that the reading will have enough time to fulfill the communication of information to the pupils through employing the liked story text for them.
